For Healthcare Students

Students attending school to enter the healthcare field should apply here for the Dr. Francene Gayle Scholarship for Healthcare Students. We are awarding a $1,000 prize to a single qualified student who is in school and studying en route to a career in healthcare. To enter, you must submit a short essay and the winner of the scholarship is chosen based on the content written in that essay.

Scholarship Overview

Having spent many years in school herself, Dr. Francene Gayle greatly values this opportunity to give back to the next generation of healthcare students through this scholarship fund.

The Dr. Francene Gayle Scholarship for Healthcare Students is announcing our fund, which is open to any future healthcare students located in the United States. The scholarship will present a monetary reward to a single student that is in school on their path to entering the field of healthcare. We are also aiming to build awareness of the complex issues faced by our young students along their journey to becoming healthcare providers.

Criteria

To apply for the scholarship, applicant should be a student at a university in the United States or high school student that will attend university in pursuit of a degree in the healthcare field.

We will award the scholarship based on an essay competition.  One winner will be selected with the best essay of under 1000 words which answers:  

“How would you use your healthcare degree to make the world a better place”

Amount

One time award of $1,000

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is June 15, 2023.

Winner Announced

The winner for the scholarship will be announced July 15, 2023.
